None of us know the full story about Britney’s conservatorship, but one thing that is striking is that when she asked for her father to be removed as conservator, that was not honored. It is important for guardians and the justice system to uphold the wishes and values of an individual under guardianship/conservatorship whenever possible.
As Britney’s case goes back to court, I hope the State of California upholds her wishes. It is my thought that the first step to making the best decision in this case would be to revaluate her situation, and if it is determined a conservator is the most appropriate option, appoint a person of her choice or a neutral party.
