Who We Help

Our programs can be tailored to meet the needs of most groups. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about any of our trainings.

If you are a new guardian, whether family, friend, volunteer or professional, you might be interested in our full-day Guardianship Training.

Our Guardianship Training is a day-long workshop that takes participants through the responsibilities of being a guardian, ethical decision-making, court requirements and record keeping. The training gives participants an opportunity to complete several court forms with the help of instructors. The program is appropriate for new guardians, people interested in becoming a guardian, and guardians without formal training.

If you plan events for an ASAP, Council on Aging, Senior Center or Assisted Living Facility, you might be interested in our Advance Directive Training.

Our Advance Directive Training is an hour-long presentation on the basics of Advance Directives. The training covers the importance of nominating a Health Care Proxy and includes the role guardianship plays for those who need decision-making support but have not completed a Health Care Proxy document. Participants will be provided with Health Care Proxy forms and guided through the process of completion. The presentation is appropriate for Councils on Aging participants, Senior Centers, Assisted Living Facilities and other programs that serve older adults.

If you are a professional working in the field of medicine, aging or disabilities, and would like an overview of guardianship, you might be interested in our Guardianship for Professionals.

Guardianship for Professionals is a 90-minute presentation, which explains the concept of guardianship, the guardian’s primary responsibilities, and the impact on the person under guardianship. This presentation is appropriate for people working in the fields of healthcare, aging and disabilities.
