Happy New Year!
We wish to share with you this important announcement. On January 1, 2021, The Center for Guardianship Excellence officially launched! Our new organization will be an accessible resource that delivers research and education in guardianship both locally in Massachusetts and nationwide.
The Center will continue all of the training and support programs formerly offered by the Guardianship Academy, with a larger vision to identify the training needs of guardians not only at the local level, but across the U.S., and develop content to address those needs. Additionally, the Center will research and share the experience of guardianship both from the perspective of persons subject to guardianship as well as the guardians themselves, and use data-driven research to develop best practices for guardians and guardianship programs nationwide.
We have worked closely with our affiliates Guardian Community Trust and Public Guardian Services throughout the past year on this endeavor, and have assembled a wonderful team who will ensure that The Center for Guardianship Excellence lives up to its name.
We are excited by the Center’s launch and look forward to providing the guardianship community with the education, training, and research needed to support their important work.
